How I met Destiny !!
During the tragic losses of our beloved Cockatoo Angel and our Sweet Little Quaker Annie we called Lynn for some advice. We found a person that not only was very knowledgeable in bird care but very willing to give her heart and soul to help. We talked with her on numerous occasions and decided to go for a visit and see how we could get along with the Jenday Conure, Mr. Jellybean that she had ready for adoption. Upon arrival at Amazing Grace Bird Rescue we were welcomed in to visit with the birds. While I stayed with Jellybean, Lynn and my wife went to see the other birds and even though I did manage to coax Jellybean out, I could tell from the beginning I was not his person. So I went to visit with some of the others and as Lynn was introducing us to them we came to Destiny. Lynn got her out of the cage and right away she let me give her head a scritch, Deb asked to hold her and she timidly went to her then back to Lynn. I asked to hold her and she stepped right
over and I started petting her and just talking and petting more. Lynn and Deb walked around the corner and I let Destiny go to her play stand and she w

right back on my arm. I took her back and petted her some more but I wanted to go see the little Cockatoo so put her back up on her stand. We all came back to where Destiny was on her play stand - Lynn asked her to step up and Destiny would have none of it, even was a little aggressive with her. I asked her to step up and she didn’t hesitate even a second and right then I knew I was now the person of a beautiful Blue & Gold Macaw. I hope as you read this you realized I went to the rescue with the hopes of bringing home a small Jenday Conure but since God does the choosing I now have a very special addition to our family,
A VERY LARGE FAMILY ADDITION!
