Starlight


I adopted Starlight from Amazing Grace 2 years ago. She is an amazing little cockatiel with a heart the size of a macaw. I have never seen such a little animal love life like she does. Starlight was approximately 8 years old when she was shook by a dog. Her family didn't seek any medical attention for her and after two weeks gave her away. The lady who she was given to surrendered her to Amazing Grace so she would get the proper care that was needed. Lynn took her straight to Dr. Kersting. Dr. Kersting said that with the injury and infection she had, she must have an amazing will to survive. Lynn asked me to foster Starlight and it was soon very apparent that she would live out the rest of her life (however long that may be) with our family. We are still, even after 2 years making small milestones. Lately she has taken to trying to mimic our whistles. She is usually content with getting her neck scratched and she is very voiceful when her food bowl is starting to get low. She is our little "amazing match" and we sure wouldn't trade her for anything!!
